Our Path Forward: Growth Through Connection

As I embark on this year of my Presidency, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to lead, to serve, and to belong to a community built by women with extraordinary resilience and ambition. Whenever I think of this organization, I think of friends, colleagues, and community: the relationships that sustain us, the work that inspires us, and the opportunities waiting to be embraced.

Being in the role of National President for 2026 is both humbling and energizing. At its core, this position is about service. Service to our members, to our mission, and to the future generations of women who will follow us into the insurance and financial services professions. And in this moment of reflection, I feel immense gratitude for the women who have shaped this organization with passion, creativity, and grit. Their contributions have created the foundation upon which we now stand.

For WIFS, this moment is pivotal. We are in our 90th year! We exist not as an organization resting on tradition, but as one ready to evolve with intention. That evolution begins with presence: listening to our members, embracing fresh ideas, and engaging with one another in meaningful ways. Being truly present gives us the ability to respond with thoughtfulness rather than habit, and with vision rather than fear.

As we move into 2026, one priority rises above the rest: membership growth. This is more than a strategic objective—it’s an affirmation of our belief in the power of community. When more women join us, more women gain access to support, mentorship, inspiration, and opportunity in industries that still need our voices.

Growth is a collective effort. It happens when each of us shares why WIFS matters. When we invite colleagues, partners, and rising leaders into our circle. People crave meaningful connection.  And in the WIFS community, we have created not just colleagues, but friends.  Who are you inviting?

A Year of Intentional Transformation

The year ahead will be one of innovation, creativity, and courage. We will be exploring new ways to connect members regardless of geography, creating pathways for involvement at every career stage, and strengthening the structures that allow WIFS to grow and thrive. 

I hope you carry with you a sense of gratitude for the space we hold together at WIFS. And I hope you share that gratitude, openly and enthusiastically, with the women in your professional world who may not yet know what this community can mean for them.

This is our moment to grow, not from urgency, but from appreciation. Not from pressure, but from purpose.

This organization has changed my life for the better and helped me grow my business in the hardest times. Women in Insurance and Financial Services provides community, support, and opportunities for growth. I have joy in knowing that I can travel across this country and find a “sister” almost anywhere I go.  What a gift!
